THz Polarizer

  •        Terahertz polarizers use organic films with low refractive index, low absorption rate and high strength as the substrate, and metal gratings as the polarization structure. When the electric field direction of the incident terahertz wave is perpendicular to the grating, it has a very high transmittance. When the electric field direction of the incident terahertz wave is parallel to the grating, it has a very low transmittance. It features high polarization direction transmittance, high polarization extinction ratio, good firmness and resistance to damage, as well as good polarization uniformity.

    6μm and 13μm wire grid polarizers

    The wire grid with a 6-micron diameter tungsten wire can be selected with a wire pitch as low as 12.5 microns, 

    suitable for polarizers with wavelengths ranging from approximately 50 microns (or 6THz) to longer.
