Reflective Fiber Collimator
Reflective optical fiber collimator The silver film reflective collimator with a protective layer is based on a 90° off-axis parabolic reflector. Unlike lenses, the focal length of metal mirrors remains constant over a wide range of wavelengths. Due to this inherent property, parabolic mirror collimators can collimate light of different wavelengths without adjustment, making them an ideal choice for collimating polychromatic light. Common applications include systems that require collimation of multiple wavelengths, infrared collimation/coupling, and coupling polychromatic light into large-core-diameter multimode fibers.
